I have worked for Safestore for the last 5 years. I initially started as a Store Manager and after 3 years I was promoted to Regional Manager. In my opinion Safestore is a company guided by clear principles, who offer the highest standard of service through well trained skilled teams.
Allowing its members of staff to have an excellent insight to the world of self storage. To me Safestore is a company that ‘Cares for the people who use us’ and the ‘people who work for us’.
I thoroughly enjoy working for Safestore and could not think of a better company to be part of. Safestore have developed me and given me the opportunity to be the best I can be and I am still learning!
I initially commenced employment as a Store Manager in 1999 with Spaces Personal Storage then in 2004 Safestore acquired the business. I managed a store in Bath then managed our store in Paddington. In 2007 I was promoted to Buyer and moved to our Head Office in Hertfordshire. Safestore is a growing solid company with exciting plans for new store openings throughout the UK as well as in France and perhaps soon elsewhere in Europe! Whilst all the processes, layouts and formats are unified across the company each store still has a very individual feel. Managers and stores are still given an amount of autonomy that is not always found elsewhere. We are given excellent opportunities to develop ourselves with Safestore and there are always clear regular incentives available to everyone.
I initially joined Safestore as a Sales Assistant 3 years ago then after 3 months service I was promoted to Assistant Manager then a year later I was again promoted to Designate Manager which eventually led me to being Store Manager at our store in Oldham.
I find Safestore very rewarding, exciting and challenging to work for. I have received outstanding support and training in order for me to progress within the company which has seen me progress from a Sales Assistant to Store Manager so quickly.
You always know that somebody is on the end of a phone if you require any help or guidance.
I initially joined Safestore as a Sales Assistant in 2005 within a year I had been promoted to Assistant Manager. I worked in a very friendly and enthusiastic environment where team spirit was high and I gained good experience. I was then promoted to Store Manager at the end of 2006 where I could implement all the skills I had learned to run my own store. I see Safestore as the market leader of the self storage industry. Safestore has fierce competition which I see as an advantage to the business as Safestore always aim to achieve excellent service and exceed the competition. Safestore are continuously looking to improve within all aspects of the business. I love the fact that there are so many opportunities to progress here and that the team spirit is always so high. Safestore implement many schemes which allow us to meet after work and have nights out to socialize with our fellow colleagues which in return increases our team spirit!
I initially joined Safestore as a Sales Assistant and was promoted to Assistant Manager within 2 years of joining. I support my Manager in a large range of tasks and have received excellent training in order for me to complete these.
