Prime property in London is 'insulated from troubles'

15 May 2008

People looking for prime property in London may be pleased to hear that, according to one expert, this sector may be shielded from the problems in the wider market.

London Central Portfolio has claimed that some house buyers may be able to compete successfully in the current market conditions.

Naomi Heaton, chief executive of the company, explained that those with "vision" and adequate revenue could actually take advantage of "exceptional tactical opportunities".

"Prime property is insulated from many of the factors that influence the domestic market," she said, going on to add that its longevity seems inevitable.

According to Savills, the prime property market has experienced a two per cent fall in value during March this year. Meanwhile the Council of Mortgage Lenders recently reported that an eight per cent dip in lending has been seen in the first quarter of the year.

When buying a new property, be sure to invest in a good storage system to protect all belongings.
