Despite new technology allowing Brits to free up increasing volumes of space, people still hold a deep affection for things they can see and touch, particularly if they boast are retro, it has been revealed.
New
research carried out by Halifax
Home Insurance found that 30 per cent of
UK homeowners prefer electronics and
household items from the 1980s to what's on the
market today.
More specifically, many people prefer to have hundreds of vinyls or CDs rather than a single computer or hard drive, meaning many may be struggling for space as they refuse to adapt to the modern world.

Home Insurance head of underwriting, said: "The digital revolution has allowed entire music, film and TV collections to be stored digitally out of sight, but for many people - certainly those old enough to actually remember the 80s - they miss being able to display their tastes around the
home for visitors to see.
Anyone struggling for space and not wanting to go completely digital may want to look into making use of safe storage facilities.
