Homeowners looking to add value to their property and offset the falling market could look into the possibility of constructing some 'kid's digs', home improvement experts have advised.
In April a study carried out by Fool.co.
uk found that around one in four 23-to-34-year-olds are now worried about the prospect of negative equity, with a growing number now looking to improve their current properties rather than make a move to a new place.
Now Custom Timber Build has advised that wooden chalets can be the ideal means of boosting a home's value and more than offsetting the damage caused by the market reversals.
"It's a very sensible way of being able to add value to your
property by putting structures up in your
garden," the organisation's director Richard Sharman explained.
"It may be for some people but it may not be for everybody, it's an individual choice. For those who are looking for a house that has extra space then it is an ideal situation."
Anyone thinking of carrying out any
home improvement works may want to look into
secure storage for the duration of any project.
