Brits are now more comfortable with putting their home up for sale and moving house, it has been claimed.
According to Savills, this is because increased buyer numbers mean that people are confident that their house will sell.
Furthermore, they are aware of the "greater stability in terms of prices" in the UK property market and believe that the worst declines have now passed, the firm continues.
Lucian Cook, director of residential research at Savills, said: "Transaction levels are improving [and] there are new buyers in the market, but knowing what they are going to get for their property is also going to make them much more comfortable in doing that."
Meanwhile, Hometrack has reported that in June, the average property cost £155,600. This figure is the same as that for April and May.
If you have just put your property up for sale and are hoping to move house, then storage facilities could help to ease the process by ensuring that your possessions are safe.
