An architect attempting to make his home highly efficient has revealed he ran into issues caused by lack of space.
Don McLean of McLean Architects suggested to the Guardian that there were difficulties involved in getting the property he was creating to fit into its plot, due to the number of bedrooms he wanted.
"Spatially, the challenge was to achieve a four-bedroom house on such a tight site, which at 11m wide by 33m steep is not a big site," he commented.
However, Mr McLean did manage to find the scope to create a separate storage space in the house, as well as a double-garage, which can also be used for storage purposes.
The storage room is on the ground floor along with all four bedrooms, ensuite bathrooms, a family bathroom, a utility area and an office.
Those struggling to find a place to for their belongings in their homes may wish to use self storage, which can help to free up space and keep a property tidier.
