Brits planning to buy a home abroad may be interested to learn that, according to one expert, property in Spain will offer fantastic opportunities this year.
Mark Stucklin, head of Spanishpropertyinsight.com, said that although the country's property market is currently depressed, canny buyers are taking advantage of the low prices.
He noted that anyone considering investing in Spanish property should "go for prime".
"Try to get the best location, best views, good quality in designs at really great prices.
Prices that are basically back to where they were eight to ten years ago," Mr Stucklin commented.
He added that strength of the pound is currently delaying many people from investing.
According to A Place in the Sun, some of the top destinations for property investment in 2010 include Spain, Florida, France, Portugal, Turkey, Italy and Cyprus.
Greece, the Caribbean and Bulgaria are also set to prove popular, it added.
