Florida property market 'appealing to foreign buyers'

28 July 2010

More people could be looking at purchasing property in Florida after it was revealed that the property market in the area is doing well.

According to Adam Samuel, director at overseas property resource Nubricks.com, houses in the sunshine state are attracting interest from foreign buyers.

He said: "Florida is one of those markets where there are actually sales happening."

Mr Samuel added that "Florida is the one to watch" for people interested in buying property in the US.

His comments come after the US Census Bureau and the Department of Housing and Urban Development reported earlier this week that house sales in the US rose by 23.6 per cent in June.

Earlier this month, the Worldwide Property Group also revealed that 65 per cent of buyers believe now is a good time to purchase a property abroad.

It showed that the most popular destination from potential purchasers was Florida.

This news could encourage homebuyers to look into self-storage options, in order to reduce the stress of moving possessions abroad all at once.
