When setting out to de-clutter a property, it can be a daunting task if you are unrealistic about how much time and effort it can take.
Instead, planning carefully what to do and how long it will take to achieve will make the job easier, the Trinidad and Tobago Guardian reported.
Considering how people will keep everything from piles of old newspapers simply in case they need them to wrap items to old sheets that are no longer used, the news source suggested starting with one corner or shelf and working from there.
While advising that people should not expect to de-clutter their entire property in a weekend, the newspaper recommended setting a certain time limit to work in rather than having a goal which may not be achievable in the amount of time available.
Getting some de-cluttering done before the kids head back to school could be a good idea, after the Post Crescent noted that when term starts the work and projects they bring home will create even more clutter.
