Systematic sorting can help with de-cluttering

06 September 2010

When it comes to de-cluttering a property, taking a systematic approach will help to get the job done faster.

If a home is feeling too crowded, moving from one room to the next can get the work done more efficiently, the Manila Bulletin recently advised.

"You can go left to right and then go on the upper levels of your home like the attic," the publication advised.

Taking a similarly systematic approach to sorting out cupboards and cabinets was also suggested.

Starting off with high-up storage units and hard to reach shelves will get the most difficult part of the job over with first and make it simpler when moving down to those in easier reach.

Giving the house a spring clean in time for the autumn was recently advised by the Daily Express, as it will give the property a fresh and clean feeling in time for when the weather begins to turn.
