Create a 'peaceful oasis' by de-cluttering

06 September 2010

Turning your bedroom into an oasis of calm and tranquillity can be achieved by reducing the amount of clutter.

Creating a relaxing sanctuary in the bedroom is easy, according to blogging site Technorati, as all it can take is removing unwanted items that take up all your space.

"Clutter is a major distraction and can you leave you feeling very overwhelmed and full of anxiety," the site reported.

It suggested that removing items which have no meaning, as well as bulky goods like the computer and the TV, will turn the area into somewhere that you can unwind and collect your thoughts.

Adding some personal items to the new space, such as candles and photographs, will help to make it a more inviting room in which to enjoy free time.

Homeowners who want to de-clutter their property were recently advised by the Trinidad and Tobago Guardian to be realistic about how long it could take.
