Plan your weekly outfits and win £200 worth of H&M Vouchers

Plan your weekly outfits and win £200 worth of H&M Vouchers

Do you find mornings incredibly stressful?  Can’t find anything to wear? Do you arrive late for work in a bit of a state?

We’ve teamed up with Melanie Wall, Stylist and Colour Analyst based in Hertfordshire who shares her advice on planning your weekly outfits so you don’t find yourself stressed out first thing in the morning.

She advocates setting aside some time on the weekend to plan your weekly outfits; saving you dashing around in the morning trying to locate a missing item, discovering all of your tights are still wet in the washing machine or finding out your new puppy has chewed your favourite pair of heals or in Mel’s case her new rabbit (named Jimmy Chew).

How to Enter

To celebrate working together we’re holding a giveaway for one of our lucky readers to #win a £200 Gift Voucher from H&M, one of Mel’s favourite shops.  But we’re going to make you work for it, not too much though.

A weeks worth of outfits

We’d love to see the outfits you have planned for the week you can Tweet us, post to our Facebook, Instagram it or blog it for a bonus 5 entries!  Further details are included in the entry form including Terms and Conditions.

We wanted to make sure as many people as possible could enter our giveaway so there are quite a few ways to enter.   Simply use the Rafflecopter form below.  You can use one or all.

How to create a collage

If you’re not sure how to capture several outfits in a photo there are loads of different apps and programs that allow you to quickly create collages.  Below are 3 that we can personally recommend and have used ourselves.

pic frame app for creating photo collages
1) PicFrame – (iPhone/iPad app) allows you to create collages from pictures that are already in your camera roll.  Simply choose a frame, then click the segments and pop in the picture.
picmonkey online photo editor
2) PicMonkey is another favourite of ours, we tend to use it on our desktop machines but there is also Android and Apple apps, we haven’t used the apps but if it’s as good as the desktop version then we can definitely recommend it.

Canva online photo editor and document designer3) We’re also big fans of Canva here in the office – anyone can become a designer – again it’s a very simple interface and has the option to create collages and it’s no surprise it’s available both in the iTunes store and Google Play.
Good luck to everyone and if you have any questions please do get in touch.

The tip about wearing two outfits in the same week, but at opposing ends of the week, with a scarf, is genius. If you're stuck for new outfits and short of time, it's a lifesaver! :)

Setting time ahead is a great idea as I come home to a bedroom with clothes all over the floor everyday as I never know what to wear in the morning. Ideally I would do this but need a wardrobe that I can easily pick pieces that go together. I like all your outfits, wish I had your style actually

I like the 'take a change of shoes' tip. Very useful for sore feet and easier than having to change the whole outfit for different occasions.

Planning your outfits for the week is a great tip because then you can just hang them all up in order with accessories hung on the hangers and no matter how early it is in the morning when you get dressed you just can't go wrong - well that's the theory anyway!

Planning your outfits out for the week is a great idea- I hate scrabbling around trying to find things in the morning! I'm on a limited maternity capsule wardrobe at the moment but anything that saves time in the morning is a win with me!
Helen Moulden | 07 February 2017 at 08:06 AM
I think it's thinking ahead and what your diary looks like. That would help my planning a lot!
