Aviator Coffee

Aviator Coffee is an online retailer of speciality coffee, selling single-source, Rainforest Alliance and unique blends direct to coffee lovers or on a wholesale basis to coffee shops across the country. Owner Max Moccia set up Aviator Coffee in 2016 after spending several years working for his father’s Italian coffee company. 

Rather than pursue purely Italian coffee, Max wanted to focus on using ethically-sourced coffees from South America, keeping up with the latest worldwide trends and developments in the industry. Online customers can treat themselves to bags of whole bean or ground coffees such as the medium-roast Spitfire and Horizonte or the dark-roast Wingman; a wide range of speciality teas are also available. Wholesalers can also arrange to purchase or lease the latest coffee machinery for their businesses.

An environmentally-responsible business, Aviator Coffee goes to great efforts to ensure that their packaging and waste disposal is environmentally sound, and they are in the process of switching their vehicles from diesel to Euro 6 petrol engines to reduce emissions. They have achieved the Rainforest Alliance certification for most of their products and are working to support direct trade, to protect the livelihoods and wellbeing of farmers in developing countries.
 

How does Aviator Coffee use Safestore?

Aviator Coffee is an online retailer and therefore doesn’t need physical premises from which to sell their products. The positives of this are that they don’t need to pay expensive overheads such as commercial rents or business rates. Their delicious stock needs careful storage, though, so for the last three years they have used our Borehamwood store to keep their coffee, tea and equipment clean, dry and secure.
