Why Filton?
Located just 5 miles to the north of Bristol, Filton is a suburb that has decent housing (with something for every budget), good transport links (thanks to its two railway stations and easy access to the M4 and M5) and plenty of places to shop and dine.
Its proximity to Bristol (10 minutes by train) make it attractive to commuters, and more generally for people who want to
live and work in or near Bristol, which is a thriving city and has lots to offer residents, businesses and tourists.
Filton’s a popular place for students of UWE to live, as the area is close to the Glenside and Frenchay campuses. This lends Filton a vibrant feel and it’s generally considered a safe place for students who are living away from home for the first time.
