Safestore self storage in Bedford
At our Bedford store, we have drive-up room access available so it’s really easy to load and unload your belongings. We’re pleased to be able to offer a free forklift truck service here, too, if you need help with particularly large or heavy items.
Our storage rooms can be used for all types of storage and include ground floor rooms with 10 feet high ceilings. Our 10 sq ft lockers are useful for storing student belongings during the holidays or to free up some extra space at home (you could keep suitcases here, or Christmas decorations, for example). The larger rooms can be used for any amount of household or office contents during a move or renovations, or for business stock, tools, archives or equipment. You could even run your business out of our larger storage rooms.
Our helpful team is on hand during opening hours to help - they can even accept deliveries for you and will keep your parcels safe until you arrive to collect them.
If you need office space, our offices are clean, dry and affordable; they’re a flexible alternative to traditional commercial leases on business premises, and our convenient location will make it easy for your staff to get to work and/or your customers to call in for meetings.
Bedford is a very attractive place to live and work. It’s only 45-minutes from London by train, so it's popular amongst commuters and families who want affordable, decent housing and very good local schools as well as an easy journey to work. House prices here are very reasonable and there are plenty of lovely, large Victorian redbrick houses to choose from.
Employment rates are high in the town, but if your particular industry is a little low on jobs in the immediate area, there are very good transport links to other nearby towns and cities including Cambridge, Oxford, Milton Keynes and Northampton.
Bedford's semi-rural location means that any commuting you may do from here will take you through some beautiful countryside, past fields, rivers and forests. Within Bedford itself, there are plenty of green spaces to enjoy including some Green Flag-winning parks (including Priory Country Park and Bedford Park) and the waterfront is lovely all along the River Great Ouse. There are plenty of places to eat and drink, and the town centre has all the shops you’d expect to see on the high street.
