Get in touch
If you have any questions, please call us, chat with us online or use our online contact form and one of our friendly team will be happy to help. If you decide to go ahead and reserve a storage space with us, you can do this online or by phone, and there’s no deposit to pay today.
You can rent a storage room with us for just 7 days (and take your belongings out at any point during that time), or stay for as long as you like. There are no long tie-ins, but if you know that you’ll want to keep your room for at least 12 months, our Wimbledon store offers a discount for long-term stays so please mention this at the time of booking.
We have made some video guides that show how much space is available in each size of storage room, to help you to choose the best room for your needs. If you’d like some advice based on how much you intend to store, our experienced team is available on the phone or online to offer tailored suggestions on a no-obligation, no-pressure basis.
Safestore self storage in Wimbledon
Our Wimbledon store is laid out so that all storage rooms are on the ground floor, making accessing your belongings very easy. Rooms are individually lit, and there are rooms with high ceilings available for extra storage space. There’s car parking available on-site, and we have trolleys available if you need help with loading or unloading larger items.
Our lockers are a handy size if you need to store excess or seasonal household belongings such as sports gear or camping equipment. Our larger rooms can accommodate any amount of furniture during a house move (or to store personal items if you’re planning to rent out your property during Wimbledon fortnight), or business stock and equipment.
Why Wimbledon?
Wimbledon is, of course, best known for Wimbledon fortnight, when tennis fans from all over the globe descend upon the area. Outside that fortnight, though, Wimbledon is a very popular place for people to raise their families: it has a wealth of excellent schools, plenty of green space and large houses with gardens, yet central London is only half an hour away. The proximity of major employers including the American Embassy and Sony make Wimbledon an attractive area for professionals, too.
House prices are accordingly very steep, and are driven higher still by the relatively low supply of available housing to buy - families tend to stay in Wimbledon once they’re settled, and so family housing doesn’t often enter the market. Rental properties are slightly easier to come by for professionals, and homeowners in the area often rent out rooms or their entire property for tourists visiting during the tennis season too.
