Safestore Glasgow North is located at 1 Charles Street, Glasgow, G21 2PR - on Charles Street off Springburn Road (A803) in north Glasgow, directly accessible from Junction 15 of the M8. The M8 connects westbound to Glasgow city centre and Glasgow Airport, and eastbound to the M73 and M74. Journey time from J15 is under five minutes.
From the M8 Westbound: Exit at Junction 15. At the first set of traffic lights, stay in the right lane and turn right. Head northbound on Castle Street. At the next traffic lights, turn right onto Royston Road. At the following lights, turn left onto Springburn Road (A803). Stay in the right lane - this feeds directly onto Charles Street and our main gates.
From the M8 Eastbound: Exit at Junction 15 onto the A803 Springburn Road. Take a quick turn left, signposted A803 (Port Dundas / Blochairn / Townhead), and stay in the left lane. At the traffic lights, turn left onto Baird Street (staying in the left lane). Go straight through the next traffic lights onto Royston Road. At the following lights, turn left onto Springburn Road (A803). Stay in the right lane - this feeds directly onto Charles Street and our main gates.
From Glasgow city centre: Head north along High Street and continue onto Castle Street, then follow Springburn Road (A803) north. Charles Street is on the right. The journey from the city centre takes approximately 10 minutes by car.
By train / bus: High Street and Barnhill railway stations are both approximately five minutes by taxi from the store. Baird Street bus stop on Springburn Road is approximately one minute's walk and is served by bus numbers 87 and 90, which go to Buchanan Bus Station, as well as simpliCITY services 88, 88A, 88C, 89, 89A, and 89B, with connections to Glasgow city centre and across north Glasgow.
Parking: Free on-site parking with no time limit. The store has a loading bay and two customer lifts for upper-floor units. The site accommodates van access for loading and unloading.
