For over a decade now, we've had the immense pleasure of supporting HandsOn London's Wrap Up campaign, dedicated to making a difference in the lives of those less fortunate. As we proudly step into our 12th year of participation, let's take a moment to appreciate the heartwarming spirit of this initiative. Wrap Up London is more than just a coat collection; it symbolises warmth, kindness, and community spirit.
The Heart of the Campaign:
Wrap Up London is all about coming together to provide warmth to those in need. From November 7th to December 3rd, communities across the UK will unite to collect coats for the less fortunate. Last year, this campaign surpassed all expectations by
collecting over 15,000 coats, bringing the total to a staggering 212,032 coats since its inception in 2011. These
coats found their way to over 100 charities nationwide, offering comfort and solace to those who need it most.
The Importance of Drop-Off Points:
What makes this initiative genuinely remarkable is its accessibility. To make donating easy, the public, local companies, and community organisations can drop off their coat donations at various drop-off points across cities. In collaboration with HandsOn London,
Safestore centres are proud to be among the key drop-off locations.
Expanding Across the UK:
This year, Wrap Up London is extending its reach beyond the capital city. Thanks to Human Appeal and Rotary Club partnerships, the campaign now stretches its heartwarming arms across the UK. In addition to
London, Wrap Up will also warm the lives of individuals in cities like
Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, Cardiff, Luton, and Leicester.
How Your Contributions Make a Difference:
In our continued support of this meaningful campaign, we have opened our doors to the public, welcoming coat donations at several of our stores. These coats, lovingly provided by people like you, will be sorted by dedicated volunteers. Subsequently, they will find their way to a diverse range of organisations, including homeless shelters, women's refuges, youth centres, refugee support groups, care homes, centres for the elderly, and food banks. Your generosity is the driving force behind these acts of compassion and goodwill.
